Privacy & how we use your data

This page explains what personal data we hold, why we hold it, and how to have it removed. It covers audioservices.uk and the business emails we send from it.
Received an email from us and want it to stop? Use the unsubscribe link in the message, or reply with the word “unsubscribe”. Either one removes you immediately and permanently — no reply from us needed, and no account to log into. You can also email hello@radiositemaker.com.

We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page.
Business contact data we use for outreach
We contact people at radio stations, podcast producers and brands about our products. To do that we hold a small amount of business contact information:
- Work email address
- Name
- Employer or station name, and job title
- Publicly listed company details, such as a website
- Whether we have emailed you, whether the message was delivered and opened, and whether you replied or asked to be removed
We do not hold, and do not want, special category data, financial details, or personal (non-work) contact details for this purpose.
Where we got it
From publicly available business sources — company websites, station listings, public professional profiles and industry directories — or because you gave it to us directly. We do not buy consumer lists.
If you would like to know precisely where we obtained your details, ask us and we will tell you.
Why we are allowed to email you
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR: our interest in offering relevant products to businesses that plausibly need them, balanced against your interests and rights.
We keep that balance reasonable by contacting people only in a work capacity about something relevant to their role, keeping volumes low, offering a working opt-out in every message, and stopping immediately when asked. Under PECR, marketing by email to corporate subscribers is permitted on this basis; we do not send unsolicited marketing to individual subscribers or personal addresses.
You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. If you object, we stop — there is no balancing test and we do not ask for a reason.
How to be removed
Any of these works, and all of them are permanent:
- Click the unsubscribe link in any email from us
- Reply to any email with “unsubscribe”, “remove me” or “opt out”
- Email hello@radiositemaker.com
Removal takes effect immediately and stops any messages already scheduled. We keep your email address on a suppression list afterwards — that is the only way to guarantee we never contact you again, and we hold it for no other purpose.
How long we keep it

Who else sees it
Our outreach data sits in systems we run ourselves, hosted in the EU or UK. We use a small number of processors under contract:
- Google Workspace — email sending and mailboxes
- Railway — application hosting
- Brevo — sign-in codes for our own staff (not marketing)
- Cloudflare and Netlify — DNS and website hosting
We never sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Where a processor operates outside the UK or EEA, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Email tracking
Our emails may record whether a message was opened and whether a link in it was clicked. We use this only to judge whether our messages are wanted and to stop sending to people who are clearly not interested. It is not used to build a profile of you or shared with anyone. Blocking remote images in your mail client prevents open tracking entirely.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete it
- Restrict how we use it
- Stop using it for direct marketing — always honoured, no questions
- Provide it in a portable format

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
